Refund Policy

Information about how refunds are assessed and processed when purchasing from MisterChef.

01

Refund Policy

At MisterChef, we want our returns and refund process to be clear and straightforward.

This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled when a product is returned to MisterChef or where a refund is otherwise applicable.

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

02

Change-of-Mind Refunds

If you change your mind about your purchase, you may be eligible for a refund in accordance with our Returns Policy.

Products must be returned in accordance with the conditions set out in our Returns Policy, including the requirement that products are returned unused and in their original retail packaging.

Before returning a product, you must contact MisterChef Customer Care and obtain the appropriate return instructions.

A refund will normally be considered once the returned product has been received and assessed.

03

Refund Eligibility

To be eligible for a change-of-mind refund, the returned product should meet the conditions set out in our Returns Policy.

This may include consideration of whether the product:

  • Was returned within the applicable return period
  • Is unused
  • Is returned in its original retail packaging
  • Includes the accessories, components and documentation originally supplied with the product
  • Has been returned in a suitable condition

Returned products may be inspected before a refund is processed.

Where permitted by applicable law, a reduction may be made to a refund if the value of a product has been diminished as a result of handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect or assess the product.

04

Refund Amount

Where a refund is approved, the amount refunded will depend on the circumstances of the return and the applicable legal requirements.

For change-of-mind returns, the refund may relate to the purchase price of the returned product, subject to any deductions or exclusions permitted by applicable law.

Any applicable delivery charges, return costs or other amounts will be handled in accordance with our Returns Policy, the circumstances of the purchase and applicable consumer law.

05

Return Postage Costs

Where a product is returned because you have changed your mind, the cost of returning the product may be your responsibility unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law.

If a product is faulty and the fault is covered by your statutory rights or applicable manufacturer warranty, return and postage arrangements will be handled in accordance with our Warranty & Faulty Product Policy and applicable consumer law.

Please contact MisterChef Customer Care before returning a product that you believe to be faulty.

06

Refund Processing

Once your returned product has been received and, where necessary, inspected, we will process any refund that is due.

Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method where possible.

Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider, bank or card issuer.

We will take reasonable steps to process approved refunds without unnecessary delay and in accordance with applicable consumer law.

07

Faulty Products

If your product is faulty, damaged or develops a problem, your refund rights may differ from those relating to a change-of-mind return.

Some appliance faults require inspection before the cause of the issue can be determined.

Please refer to our Warranty & Faulty Product Policy for further information about:

  • Manufacturing and product faults
  • Manufacturer warranty coverage
  • Product inspections
  • Repairs and replacements
  • Refunds and other statutory remedies

Important: Please contact MisterChef Customer Care before returning a faulty appliance.

08

Incorrect or Damaged Orders

If you believe you have received an incorrect product or your order arrived damaged, please contact MisterChef Customer Care as soon as reasonably possible.

We may ask you to provide information about your order and, where appropriate, photographs of the product or packaging to help us understand the issue.

Please do not dispose of the product or packaging before contacting us, where reasonably possible, as this may assist us in assessing and resolving the issue.

09

Refunds Following Inspection

Some products, particularly electrical appliances, may require inspection before we can determine the appropriate outcome.

Where a product has been returned because of an alleged fault, inspection may be necessary to establish whether the issue is:

  • A manufacturing or product fault
  • Covered by the manufacturer's warranty
  • Covered by your statutory rights
  • Caused by misuse, accidental damage or another customer-caused issue

If inspection identifies a manufacturing or product fault covered by your warranty or statutory rights, we will provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with UK consumer law.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include a repair, replacement, refund or other appropriate remedy.

10

Non-Refundable Circumstances

A refund may not be available where a product does not meet the conditions of our Returns Policy, subject always to your statutory rights.

This may include circumstances where a product has been:

  • Used beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect or assess it
  • Damaged while in the customer's possession
  • Returned without appropriate packaging resulting in damage during transit
  • Modified, opened or repaired without authorisation
  • Returned outside the applicable return period, where no statutory right applies

Each return will be assessed according to its individual circumstances and applicable consumer law.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes your statutory rights.

Under UK consumer law, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

Your statutory remedies will depend on the circumstances, including the nature of the issue, how long you have owned the product and the cause of the problem.

This Refund Policy operates alongside your statutory consumer rights and does not replace them.
